Red Light Therapy in Berlin with Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD

Dermalux® LED Therapy
At Inanna in Berlin, we use Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD where skin needs a calm, precise signal rather than more intensity. This form of LED light therapy, often called red light therapy, works without needles, without strong heat, and usually without downtime. Three wavelengths, blue, red, and near-infrared, are chosen according to the skin and matched to what your skin shows on the day of your visit.
Every visit begins with a calm ten-minute conversation. We look at your skin, listen, and set the wavelength, the duration, and the rhythm to the moment before any light is used. The result is not a standard session but one that suits you on that particular day.
Dermalux® is especially suited to sensitive and reactive skin, to breakouts, to redness-prone skin, and as a calm companion in the days after selected treatments, where that fits. We do not work on open skin or acute infection; suitability and timing are always confirmed beforehand. Whether Dermalux® makes sense on its own or alongside one of our facial treatments is something we discuss together.
Dermalux Tri-Wave MD
Dermalux® has been designed and manufactured in Great Britain by Aesthetic Technology Ltd since 2012. The Tri-Wave system has been refined over the years; the Tri-Wave MD is the most recent expression of that line.
It works with three narrow-band, non-thermal wavelengths: blue at 415 nanometers, red at 633 nanometers, and near-infrared at 830 nanometers. Blue is regarded as the light for breakouts, while red and near-infrared are associated with skin comfort and recovery. What sets Dermalux® apart is that these three wavelengths can be delivered individually or simultaneously, in any combination, finely graded rather than applied wholesale.
Here, that capability stays in service of the hand, not the other way around. We choose wavelength and dose with deliberate restraint, in the rhythm your skin sets. Accuracy comes before intensity; the light remains a tool, not the lead.
As a calm foundation, Dermalux® pairs well with other paths of the house, with LDM® Triple ultrasound for sensitive skin, for instance, or with INDIBA® radiofrequency. What that looks like for you is part of the conversation. You can read more about how we work on the page about the Inanna Method®.
The Science Behind the Light
The idea of reaching the skin with light is older than most people assume. As early as 1903, Niels Finsen received the Nobel Prize for his work with light therapy. In the 1960s, the physician Endre Mester described how living tissue responds to low-level light at particular wavelengths. From that grew the field now known as photobiomodulation.
The principle reached a wider audience through space travel. In the 1990s, NASA studied red and near-infrared LED light, first for growing plants aboard, later for applications with the crews. Out of that research, over decades, came the LED light therapy used in aesthetic care today.
Dermalux® stands in that line. The system has been designed and manufactured in Great Britain by Aesthetic Technology Ltd since 2012. The Tri-Wave system has been refined over the years; the Tri-Wave MD is its most recent expression.
It works with three narrow-band, non-thermal wavelengths. They differ not only in color but in the depth they reach: blue light at 415 nanometers stays close to the surface, red light at 633 nanometers reaches further, and near-infrared light at 830 nanometers reaches the deepest layers. Blue is associated with breakout-prone skin, red and near-infrared with skin comfort and recovery. The wavelengths can be delivered individually or simultaneously, in any combination, finely graded rather than applied wholesale.
