Sculptural Face Lifting™ is a manual facial massage that works from the outside and from within. On the outside, the hands follow the contours of the cheeks, jaw, and neck. From within, with a gloved hand, the buccal, intraoral work reaches the muscles of the cheek that an external massage cannot. The two belong together, and that is the heart of the method Yakov Gershkovich built.

Sculptural Face Lifting™ is a manual sculpting of the face, guided from the outside and from within. Outside, the hands follow the lines of the cheeks, jaw, neck, and décolleté. Inside, with a gloved hand, the buccal work reaches muscle and tissue of the cheek that an external massage cannot. This joining of both layers is what Yakov Gershkovich shaped into a method of its own.
The intraoral work is intense, and it is deliberately brief. It is a measured part of the visit, its extent decided together in the conversation before each treatment, from a gentle suggestion to its natural measure. The larger part of the hour is carried by the unhurried sculpting from outside.
The whole massage is worked with Tatcha® Gold Camellia Beauty Oil, a cold-pressed Japanese camellia oil (tsubaki) with 23-karat gold leaf. From the first touch, it is the medium the hands move with across the skin. Camellia oil has been part of Japanese beauty care for more than a thousand years. The Origin
The face holds what we carry. In the jaw, around the mouth, in the cheeks, the day leaves what it has not set down. A massage that travels only over the skin does not reach this layer. This is where the work from within begins.
Buccal facial massage began in Paris. In the 1980s, the French skin expert Joëlle Ciocco developed a method that treats the face from the outside and from within, in the conviction that skin care needs both. The intraoral work, guided along cheek and jaw, was its core from the start.
Yakov Gershkovich shaped this work into a method of its own. Out of years of experience in massage, manual therapy, and facial anatomy came Sculptural Face Lifting™: a sculpting that works inside and out at once, reaching the muscles layer by layer. He has taught the method worldwide since 2010.
That very success now calls for a distinction. More than ten thousand professionals have learned the technique worldwide, and the name is common as a result. What carries a treatment is therefore not the name but the hand that performs it: the training, the experience, and the measure with which the work is done.
Part of that is honesty about the buccal work itself. It is intense, and it can only be done well within a short, carefully measured window, not across a whole hour. With us it is therefore a measured part of the visit, its extent agreed beforehand in conversation. This is not a limitation but the condition under which the work stays calm and good.
At Inanna this work rests in the hands of the Meisterinnen des Hauses, the masters of the house. They are trained at the highest level directly by Yakov Gershkovich, who has taught the method here in person. So an unbroken line runs from Paris through Gershkovich to Charlottenstraße, and it stands behind every treatment we give.
The oil that carries the whole massage holds a second, older heritage. Camellia oil, tsubaki in Japanese, has been used in Japan for skin and hair for more than a thousand years, long before modern cosmetics existed. Geisha cared for their skin with it, and in the Edo period the camellia was prized by the nobility and the tea masters. We work with Tatcha Gold Camellia Beauty Oil, a cold-pressed tsubaki oil with 23-karat gold leaf.
