Buccal Massage & Sculptural Face Lifting™ in Berlin-Mitte

Sculptural Face Lifting™ at Inanna Wellness Berlin

Sculptural Face Lifting™

Inside and out, only the hands

Sculptural Face Lifting™ is a manual facial massage that works from the outside and from within. On the outside, the hands follow the contours of the cheeks, jaw, and neck. From within, with a gloved hand, the buccal, intraoral work reaches the muscles of the cheek. An external massage cannot. The two layers belong together. That is the heart of the method Yakov Gershkovich built.

The buccal work is a deliberately short, carefully measured part of the visit, not the whole hour. Before every visit, not only the first, we take the time to talk. Together we decide how much intraoral work is right on the day. So the treatment stays calm, precise, and shaped around you.

Sculptural Face Lifting™ and Buccal Massage

A visit begins with the conversation. Ten minutes before every treatment belong to reading the skin on that particular day, not only the first time. The work inside the mouth is discussed here too. How far it goes on the day is decided together, before you lie down. Nothing is announced on the table.

Sculptural Face Lifting™ is a manual sculpting of the face, guided from the outside and from within. Outside, the hands follow the lines of the cheeks, jaw, neck, and décolleté. Inside, with a gloved hand, the buccal work reaches muscle and tissue of the cheek. An external massage cannot. This joining of both layers is what Yakov Gershkovich shaped into a method of its own. A session lasts 60 minutes and costs €180, booked on its own and without a course. The same hand is also the manual part of five Inanna Signature Journeys.

The Meisterin des Hauses, the master of the house, holds her hands beneath the face cradle. You take six to eight conscious breaths. No open flame, no smoke. Only then does the work begin. The intraoral work is intense, and it is deliberately brief. It is a measured part of the visit. Its extent is decided together in the conversation before each treatment. From a gentle suggestion to its natural measure.

The larger part of the hour is the unhurried sculpting from outside. At the end there is a tone. The Meisterin des Hauses strikes a bowl of fused quartz once, and the sound carries for about two minutes. A guest who has fallen asleep wakes to it, without being touched and without being spoken to. There is time afterwards to rise unhurried.

The whole sculpting is worked with Tatcha® Gold Camellia Beauty Oil. A cold-pressed Japanese camellia oil, tsubaki, with 23-karat gold leaf. From the first touch, it is the medium the hands move with across the skin.

Sculptural Face Lifting™ sits well alongside other paths of the house. The Japanese tradition of hand work lives in the Kobido® Facial Massage. A calm, device-supported complement is INDIBA® Radiofrequency. An overview of every path is on the Facial Treatment page, and the thinking behind them in our Philosophy.

What is a buccal massage, and how does it feel?

Buccal facial massage works on the cheek from within. With a gloved hand, from the vestibule of the mouth. On the buccinator, the masseter, and the zygomatic muscles. None of them can be reached from outside. From outside, the work feels calm and even. Most guests describe the intraoral phase as unfamiliar rather than painful. Unfamiliar, because these muscles are otherwise never touched. We say beforehand what is coming, and you say at any point when it is enough.

How hygienic is the intraoral work?

There is no binding German standard for cosmetic intraoral massage. So we work to the standard that is documented for contact inside the mouth. It comes from dental infection control. Hand hygiene before the work and after it. Fresh single-use gloves to EN 455, neither washed nor used a second time. No switching between mouth and skin with the same glove. Your consent is taken before every visit, not only the first. And the window for the intraoral phase stays short and is agreed in advance. We tell you this before you have to ask.

When is it not suitable?

With inflammation in the mouth or with problems at the gums, we postpone the work inside the mouth. The same holds after recent dental treatment. The same holds with an infection, with open areas of skin, and during an acute rosacea flare. After a procedure on the face we wait, and after botulinum toxin or filler as well. The timing is agreed with you. Where jaw joint symptoms are under medical care, the first word belongs to the practice treating them. The sculpting from outside often remains possible, and sometimes less is the right thing on the day. This work is open to women and to men. For sensitive and reactive skin the house has a path of its own.

How often, and over what period?

The interval follows what the face holds, and not a fixed plan. In an intensive phase the appointments sit about two weeks apart. After that, once a month is enough. The house sells no course and no package for it. You book each session on its own. We say so when a pause serves you better than another appointment. What carries this work is repetition at a calm interval.

How does it differ from a classic facial massage?

A classic facial massage relaxes. It works with oil, even pressure, and quiet repetition. Sculptural Face Lifting™ follows a fixed sequence. It works on muscle structure, tension, and side to side difference. On request, from within as well. Readers who arrive with the word myofascial usually mean this same layer. The difference lies in the pressure. That work holds it still until the tissue yields. This one carries it in movement and in sequence. Beside it stands a second hand in the house, the Kobido® Facial Massage. It is rhythmic, with no work inside the mouth. The choice is made in conversation, not from a list.

How do I recognise a serious massage practice?

Ask about the training and ask to see the certificate. Here one Meisterin des Hauses holds both in-person levels of the method. Level 1 of 17 November 2024, registration number 1718. Level 2 of 21 October 2025, registration L2/2047. Both authorised by Yakov Gershkovich in person. He taught both levels in these rooms. Ask how hygiene inside the mouth is handled, and whether it is explained to you before the treatment. Ask about the interval between appointments, and whether it follows your face or a package. Ask who tells you when not to treat. A practice with a calm answer to all four is working carefully.

The house behind the care

Work on the face begins here not with touch but with listening. We ask how the day has been and what the face will take today. Only then is it settled how the session runs. Ten minutes of conversation precede every visit, not only the first. The Inanna Consult® is the calm first step for anyone who does not yet know us.

Carrying this work are the Meisterinnen des Hauses. Their craft stands in documented lineages. Each learned her lineage at its source. The hand leads, the technology follows.

Buccal facial massage began in Paris. In the 1980s the French skin expert Joëlle Ciocco developed a method. It treats the face from the outside and from within. Her conviction was that skin care needs both. Intraoral work along cheek and jaw was its core from the start. Yakov Gershkovich met this technique in Paris. In his own words he supplemented it, improved it, and gave it a new name. Sculptural Face Lifting™ came out of years of experience. Massage, manual therapy, and facial anatomy. A sculpting that works inside and out at once. It reaches the muscles layer by layer. He has taught the method worldwide since 2010, today from Tel Aviv.

That very success calls for a distinction. More than ten thousand professionals have learned the technique worldwide. The name is common as a result. What makes a treatment is therefore not the name but the hand that performs it. In this house the work lies with one Meisterin des Hauses who holds both in-person levels of the method. Her certificate licenses her expressly to perform the method and to offer it publicly.

Precision includes what is not established. Controlled studies of work inside the mouth come from physiotherapy. They concern symptoms of the jaw joint. They do not carry over to appearance. What exists on facial massage in general is small work on few people. A lasting lift is not established by it, and we do not claim one. The house says what this work does, and promises nothing it cannot carry.

The oil holds a second, older heritage of its own. Camellia oil, tsubaki in Japanese, has been used in Japan for skin and hair for more than a thousand years. Long before modern cosmetics existed. Geisha cared for their skin with it. In the Edo period the camellia was prized by the nobility and the tea masters. The oil worked with here stands in that line.

The oils of the Inanna Aromatherapy® come from Original Swiss Aromatics. Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt founded that house in 1983. The largest share is wild-harvested lavender from the Haute-Provence. Cut by hand with a sickle. Anyone who prefers no scent is given none, and we do not ask why.

The fused quartz bowl that closes the session is younger than it looks. Bowls like this are a late twentieth century American invention. They come from the crucible technology of semiconductor manufacture. Quartz is melted in that process to grow silicon. Each bowl has a serial number, a stated note and a stated frequency. The Meisterinnen des Hauses chose ours themselves, in these rooms, from several instruments.

Others name this house. World Spa Awards, Best Day Spa Germany 2024 and 2025. The only CIDESCO-certified house in Berlin, portrayed in Vogue Italia in 2025.

Care includes the boundary. We do not work where someone else should be asked first. With inflammation in the mouth or with problems at the gums, please seek dental advice first. After a procedure on the face, we ask for medical advice. In pregnancy and in the time after it, this work has a place of its own, in MamiSpa®.

Inanna is a house for non-medical, device-assisted and manual care. We make no diagnoses and treat no illnesses. At the end stands not the method but the person, accompanied calmly and without haste. The calm first step is the Inanna Consult®, and whenever you wish, you can reach us here.
